Advice Please….Young hen vent pulsating and red

My serama hen had pasty butt so I soaked her bottom in warm water and epsom salt, after drying her off I noticed something hanging out of her butt I pulled it out gently and was soft shell I increased her calcium intake—she was eating layer feed and had access to oyster shell all the time. Pictures attached any advice is really appreciated

Is the hen still acting like she needs to expel more that may still be inside? If there's a fluid leaking from her vent, there likely is more in there. If she's still hunched and pulsing at her vent, that's more reason to suspect she has material still needing to come out.

Not all hens can digest oyster shell and the calcium carbonate in layer feed to make strong shells. From time to time, this can occur. The treatment is calcium citrate which is far easier to digest and absorb. She needs around 600mg per day for a few days until her calcium reserves build back up. You'll know the reserves are topped off again when she's laying good shell eggs. Then she can go back to oyster shell. This is what you want to get. Give one tablet each day directly into her beak.

Thank you so much for the advice I will purchase now. Her ven seems to have gotten better and not pulsing like earlier updated pic attached

Another "trick" I learned from a member, you can sprinkle some of the OS dust on/in her feed. Although the calcium tabs is a good boost.
