Advice please for new Peafowl babies!!

I'm a complete ignoramus on the varieties, would you mind explaining to me what a spalding is? And why the crest makes you think they are? Very interested to hear your views.
Thank you

Spalding is the hybrid between the Indian Blue species and Green species. It's like a mule, but unlike the mule, Spalding peafowl are fertile. Since Spaldings are fertile, you can breed them to an Indian Blue over and over making it so Spaldings look closer to the Indian Blue species. If you breed Spaldings to Greens repeatedly the Spaldings will look closer to Green species. They are still Spaldings but they can look different. No matter how close they are bred to one or the other species there's still one or two things that are different between Spaldings and the pure species. Spaldings usually have a tight crest instead of fan shape like the Indian species. Here's a website with pictures of some of the varieties. http://peafowlimagedatabase.weebly.com/colorspatterns-start-here.html

Just to catch you up to speed. There's 225 varieties of peafowl that are recognized by the United Peafowl Association. There are some varieties that are under consideration right now.

Apparently they don't know it is very difficult to "wash" a Spalding .... erase the influence of green blood. This may return after generations!
I have a spalding 25% with some green feathers ... all year long !.... and dry!

Everyone knows that a wet blue feather turns green!

If IB green exist .... one day ... yellow peacock is for tomorrow!
