I ordered 3 sets of eggs originally to be delivered on the same day. One of the sets was not sent out until the following week which makes it a staggered hatch. My first group is on day 18 and the next group is on day 11. I am taking out the turner and going into lockdown tonight. My question is if I raise the humidity will it hurt the eggs that are only on day 11. I know that I will have to open the incubator to turn them but I was concerned about too high of humidity for them. I am shooting for 60-65%. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.thanks

I actually asked this (similar) question this morning. Was told that "hatching" humidity was too high for still developing eggs and that I would need to move one or the other on day 18.

I don't use a turner. I use the egg carton method and tilt my bator. When it is time to stop turning some I place a block under the egg cartons of eggs that still need turning to tilt only those eggs, up the humidity, and wait for the other eggs to hatch.

Do you use the right side of the egg carton or do you flip it over and use the underside of the carton? Also do you place the block at the end of the carton and tip that way or do you place it toward the middle so it rocks it like a turner would? I would love to try this.

I use styrofoam egg cartons that I have cut the bottoms out of. I don't turn the carton upside down. I haven't tried using paper cartons yet. I use the blocks on the ends of the cartons. The method works really well for me.
