I have a little cockerel, about 4 months, who suddenly developed such weakness that he cant stand and has trouble even eating. He can move his legs but doesnt stand. He does try to though by sort of paddling his legs in an attempt to move around.
He alternates between sleeping and eating, or attempting to eat. He has slept a lot over the past week and a half that he has been in this state. His poo seems normal and his comb is of good color.
Here are a couple of pics of him sleeping. I havent tried posting a movie clip on this site but I see it as an option. If I can I will try and show how he seems to be dizzy once he wakes up.
Any ideas on what might be ailing him and also how to help him would be appreciated. I have been giving him vitamins, especially b as well as molasses just in case he got into some bad food. Otherwise he is isolated and been kept with plenty of available food. He does eat really well once he eats. He seems to especially like cooked chicken meat and blueberries.
