Advice Please Rescuing Muscovy Ducklings

Keep the duckling if anyone says anything you can always contact the people who helped you with the other ducks. I doubt anyone will say anything. If it's a girl you can say she's for egg laying. What you posted says you can keep them for food purposes

I have been thinking about saying my duck is for egg laying . Good idea. I do not know if that is allowed, to keep ducks where I live for food or any reason due to zoning, but it is a start, it is better then saying she is my pet. It is interesting to find out that a lot of these rules are not just covering muscovy ducks in Florida but also apply all over most of the USA,however I think the problems with muscovy ducks may be worse in Florida because of our year round warmer weather. And because so many Floridians own pools.

My oldest Muscovy drake my very first Muscovy was 1 month shy of 12 yrs old when he died. My next oldest Muscovy female is 9 yrs old.

It sounds like Muscovy ducks can lead long lives almost as long as a cat or dog.
