Advice requested - Chicken run under trees - on pine needles - OK?

We are building a new coop right now and its right under a pine tree. Our chickens free range and they love the pine needles and spend most of their time digging around in them

Mine dust bath under our ole' pine tree, best softest dirt around these parts.
Mine free range also so they can go where they want to.

Pine needles have never slowed my chickens down! They should be fine.

If they roost in trees then how do you get the eggs??

Roosting is for sleeping/resting. They generally don't lay eggs where they sleep.
