My little bantam hen just hatched three duck eggs....looks as if she thinks they are really her babies...its really cute to see them follow her around!!!

My husband and his brother, when they were kids, thought it would be hilarious to swap eggs on an old broody hen and a broody duck.

Apparently it was pretty entertaining, he said both Mama's just mothered up their babies and all was well until a couple weeks in and the chicken's duck babies would just head out into the dugout and toodle around and she would run around on the dugout bank, squawking and losing her marbles....then ditto, poor Mama Duck would head out in the water and NO WAY would her babes follow, and she would get just as frustrated.
