Due to a traumatic accident I don't drive, and recently my feed store ride friend moved away. I get a ton of stuff online, and usually it's comparable to store prices, but everywhere I've looked chicken feed is insanely expensive as are the shipping fees.
I've checked Amazon, Chewie, and a bunch of other sites, and it's usually an average of about five times the price of the local feed store when all is said and done (I pay about $15.00 there for a 50lb of lay pellets).
I really want to keep my chickens, but can't afford to at the online feed prices I've seen. I would be so grateful for any advise on a more affordable source. Thanks in advance!
