Afraid of new pond

My hubby put in a lovely pond for the ducks...a week ago
They wont go in.i put food on the edge,,which they eat. But they wont jump in. Any tips?

Give them time. Birds hate change - they still think that a 'monster' lurks in the depths.

My hubby isn't very pleased about it! They get very near the edge,but that's it

Tell hubby to put on a bathing suit (or not), enter the pool and call them to him.

I think they will eventually go in like the other person said they don't like change. Give them time
