but i have a few questions, this is my first time ever with geese, we got them at auction,are unsure of thier ages,and don't know if the female has ever laid eggs
this morning they mated for the first time,...it was like ducks, only bigger
since they've mated does that mean they're getting ready for spring??
I was told by some people NOT to let them hatch thier own eggs or they'll run me out of the pen each and every time I go in there.
as of now, they arn't "mean"...they're both scaredy cats. but i was kinda curious as to if I could get them to hatch there own babies, atleast once, and if it didn't work out, take the eggs from then on. I dunno how they'll act if i did, OR if they'll even lay eggs
I know a couple of my duck hens are starting to pick out thier nesting spots, will geese do the same, or do they need a special thing?
