African Wild Cat in my backyard?

I had an F1 bengal for years that I let out from time to time. It was not dangerous than a reg house cat but just a bit bigger with wildcat pattern and color. My neighbors began reporting a baby cougar in the area but it was just Kyro my pet. he never harmed anything so if it is a domesticated hybrid then dont worry it wont eat other cats or do anything crazy. This is probaly why it is not afraid.

Possibly a Bobcat that someone was keeping as a pet and they let it go or it got away. We have them living right here near our house and I only see them once in awhile. They will eat mice and rabbits and DO watch your cats. I am surprised it coming so close to the house. They are very standoffish.

Try to get a picture if it is still hanging around.

My neighbors thought mine was a wildcat and if yours were truly wild he would not have been spotted twice in a row. Thier wildcat ended up being my pet so yes it is possible.

It isn't an african wild cat. They have long tails, the one that you saw has none.

Large Chausie cats ( Asian wild cats) are becoming popular in America, too.
I expect we will see more and more as some revert to feral status and cross breed with genetic stock from America.

I just e-mailed my dad to ask him when he saw it. Here is what I said: "Hey Dad. It’s Kelsey. When did you say you saw that weird cat again? We saw it yesterday but when did you see it because it may be a bobcat or something but I wanna know when because some people think its weird it came that close to the house and/or if it was truly wild we wouldn’t see it 2 times in a row. I just need to see if we saw it twice in a row or not so I can better figure it out. Thanks." And here is what he said back: "That is why I do not think it is a wild cat. I think it is somebody’s odd pet. We should ask Kevin or Shailan if they know anyone with a big cat with not tail.

could it be a jungle cat? they are not really around here (not even really on our continant) but maybe someone was keeping one as a pet or something. it's possible, isn't it? You know what else is weird? Mittens (our cat, he's bigish short hair orange tiger stripes with white belly and paws and kind of plump hehe) has his own crew/possy. haha. I think all the neighbors (including us) let their cats out and they kind of formed a clan. haha. Yesterday we saw Shamu (huge black and white cat with longish hair,) when we let Mittens in and then today like just now we saw Mittens other friend, a big orange and white cat, white with 2 big orange kind of tiger stripey spots on his back. haha my cat has a crew haha he has homies haha he's gangsta! haha. sometimes if we leave the garage window open his friends (aka Shamu haha) will come in the garage to say hi and/or steal his food haha

he's like huge and one time my brother was watching him for our neighbors when they went away and my brother was busy so we fed him instead and he gets like 3 little fancy feast cans prepared for him. haha
