After 30 years I still don't know anything about chickens!!!

Long story short:
I have gotten 6 eggs in the last 5 days from 10 various hens. We never got one egg around Christmas and New Years before. I thought the first was a fluke, but everyday for 5 days I'm finding 'em.
Just saying is all. Everyday something new with birds in the yard.

Yeah, my dad has been grumpin' and grousin' that the Polish haven't laid any eggs lately, and I've had to remind him that they aren't strong layers in winter time. Our other chickens have had us spoiled into thinking it's typical to get eggs steadily all winter long.
