DeerFarmer, They said they were held at the PO for pickup so they shouldnt be on a truck.

I ship on Fridays. Some people don't realize that the trucks run all weekend, so if they aren't at their delivery spot on Sunday, then they won't be sitting. They will just arrive Monday, with no break in shipping/sitting somewhere for a day. Just my 0.02

Maybe truck still move, PO are closed 1/2 day Saturday and all day Sunday....so yes they will be setting somewhere. So no need to risk shipping end of week...IMO

*Update* The eggs showed up this morning. Went to pick them up and the postal employee that brought them out tossed the box up in the air and caught it before handing it over.

About half the eggs shipped are broken and from what I could see at least some of them were fertile.

I think alot of the problem is the way the shipper packed the eggs if they would have took the time to bubble wrap or used a foam cup with packing peanuts the eggs would have had a better chance of making it with out getting broke.

Agree 100 % that foam packaging if not good, received quail eggs like that , alway had broken eggs.

Have shipped eggs the last 4byears without one broken eggs , so myself I think its all in the way they are packed.

Man, that was a crappy packing job! Did you also fuss at the PO worker for throwing your box up in the air? I would hope the shipper would reship if they have more eggs. Also you can point them to a thred that shows how to pack shipping eggs.

Sorry
