Not new to chickens--this is my 14th year--but new to this site. I am a 4-H youth specialist, Master Gardener, general eggspert on chickens to friends far and near.
I live in the beautiful Ozarks of Missouri, on a little 2 acre piece of heaven. I have 10 old hens, 20 new pullets, 7 turkeys (one old tom who moved in with my chickens was so much fun I decided to buy him some friends this year), and 6 new bantam babies. I am a dog person, too--3 of my own and 1 that belongs to my 84 year old mom who lives with me. 2 cats, too, so the house is always full of hair.
I love to cook, garden, read, swim and entertain my 2 granddaughters. (The older one is 6 and loves her chickens!)
Looking forward to meeting new friends, and sharing information.

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
