Or you will hate me for sujesting this and will walk back to McDonalds wanting to strngle me for not reminding you to take money the first time.

OK... Here's a possible solution. Have you ever seen the movie "SuperSize Me"? GO OUT AND RENT IT!!! You'll never want fast food again. I haven't eaten fast food in about 3 years and when I go in to use the rest room (the only time I go in) the smell makes me sick. It smells like cardboard in those places! Hope the movie helps. It's a real eye-opener!

The new chick im in the same boat as you are my father doesnt even care about fitness(If I have to say hes a little over weight.) But my dad doesnt have time to cook so its the nearest fast food restraunt. Subways good but it subs can get boring fast. Our shool lunch isnt healthy, the salads suck the subs are ok, you could buy pizza any time you want and the hot lunches suck, and you could by all the cookies and chips you want, but one thing they dont do is sell pop. I am on my school basketball team and we practice 2 days a week for 2 hours and have two games each week, we are undefeated

But its I guess its still not enough, I just try so hard but, I can only eat what my parent provides and its not always so healthy. As people say childrens lives are in there parents hands, and I guess there truly right .

Fast food doesn't have to be a burger and fries. A lot of the fast food place are offering more healthy alternatives. McDonald's has had some pretty good salads for years, they are offering wraps now that probably a better alternative than a burger. Look past the burgers and see what they have. That being said, a burger isn't going to kill you. Just opt for a single burger without cheese and not the triple decker... Don't eat the fries and get a fruit and yogurt cup instead...

Silkelover, we too don't have a lot of time to cook during the week. We spend some Saturday mornings cooking up things for the rest of the week and putting it in the freezer. Usually some casseroles, or a pan of pork chops in gravy and mushroom, or a pan stuffed belll peppers, etc. The first person home during the week can pop it in the oven and not have to really prepare anything except for some canned veggies to go with it. We also put up single servings of breakfast burritos, chicken and rice burritos, bowl of stews, chili or such so if somebody needs a quick meal on the way out the door they can nuke it. We try to limit the junk we bring in the house, otherwise we would sit around and snack ourselves to death, but we keep fruit and vegetables on hand to snack on, corn chips and salsa, yogurt cups, cold cuts for sandwiches, etc. Maybe you could convince your dad to let you do some shopping and see if you can make some changes...

I'm not the healthiest person around, considering I smoke a pack of cigarettes and drink a gallon of pop a day, but I do eat somewhat sensibly otherwise...

I agree with Sunnychooks. Watch SuperSize Me and your attitude about fast food will change.

I've seen the movie. A Big Mac is not going to kill you. A Big Mac once a week is not going to kill you. A burger, fries, and milkshake for every meal just might. The moral of the story is not that McDonald's is evil, but that a person can't live on greasy fried food at every meal. You could do the same thing to yourself at home if you chose to fix burgers and fries for every meal...
