Aggresive boy quail advice

Hi all i had 4 quail chicks from 3 days old turns out there were 2boys and 2 girls at 4 weeks i removed the little boy as he had been pecked and was bleeding on his face now at 5.5 weeks i removed the other male as over night he drew blood and feathers from both girls one more than the other. Is he just an aggressive quail ? Should i cull. Should i introduce the little boy to the girls when they recover or spring... will he be more docile in 4 months? Currently the 2 boys are separated in the same pen so they have company but the big boy cant peck the little one many thanks All have a great week

Real agressive males get a wintercamp in the fridge here
But very calm males can also be mobbed by the ladies

To set a flock together is always unpredictable. These little raptors have so many shades of characters. This is the art of breeding.

I have two ladies, which do not accept any other quails (neither male, nor female), beside each other. A pitty, they are so beautyful... would be nice to breed with them.

if he hurt them overnight you should probably not put him with any other birds

Yeah... Kale is totally right.

I removed a male from a flock, because I needed him for breeding in another flock. In the evening all was fine.
In the morning one female, from the flock I removed the male, was nearly killed by another female (no male there anymore).
I think she just survived because one other female seemed to defend her. Real unique characters each.

We freezer camped our little male. I’m not having that behavior in my flock.

Me too ... I have now a 2.5 week old chick, terrorizing 49 other chicks by picking and hunting all other.

First time I put a 2.5 week old chick in single prison
