Aggresive new cockrel

. So, my granddad gave me a new cockrel. But he is really aggressive! He won't let me near my hens

. How am I meant to get near the hens without me trying to attack me? Thank you!

This may sound harsh but you have to show him that your boss. If he attacks you, give him a kick (not too hard though). Eventually he should stop attacking you.

Dont let him breed to your girls, any chicks will carry the aggression on with their own offspring. Its easy to replace a bad rooster, its not so easy to tame one.
