Aggressive behavior like that WILL pass to offspring. So I would suggest selling him to someone who just wants a pond duck, or the stew pot!

So I guess I have just been lucky since I have never had another aggressive drake except my 1 imprinted.

I breed away from it and its been YEARS since I've had an aggressive drake or hen. So it certainly can be avoided with selective breedings

I read that post and thought the same, sickening actually. most likely killed him or seriously injured him.

I'm sorry but that's not at all a humane way to take care of the duck.

No, it's possibly not humane or whatever, but letting the duck continue to attack people when it was known to be aggressive is not responsible either. If the animal is aggressive, it should be confined until the aggression is gone or until it is dispatched "humanely". This could have been avoided.
