Aggressive and nicest breeds of chicken?

Out of all the different breeds i have had the nicest are my cochins and brahma.... the meaneast roo i ever had was a cockoo maran he attacked me everytime he'd get the chance.... as far as meanest hens go my little white japanese is vicious to the other girls as well as the almost 3 month old babies that are out with them. My cochin bantam rooster is pretty mean as well. He attacks little kids and small dogs but is great with the hens.

My ISA Browns (sex link) seem to be very friendly birds. Timid rather than agressive if anything. I understood before I got chickens that this was one of the positive points of the breed, that and they are great layers.

A couple of them are extremely friendly, while others seem uninterested in you, unless you have treats in hand....

I've had several RIR roos that were mean and agressive and made great soup. Thats too bad because most of my RIR hens are really friendly and I would love to be able to breed them.
My red sex links, red stars, were friendly. My black stars were just the opposite and completely ignored me.
The most freindly roo I've had is a big beautiful austrolorp, black as coal with a irridescent green sheen and a bright red comb and wattle to contrast. My 3 year old daughter would pick him up and carry him all over, feed him treats from her hand. He was almost as big as she was. He never bothered any of us even when we were picking up and playing with his girls. He was the only roo I ever trusted with my kids, all the other I had to keep an eye on when the kids were in the pen playing with them.

I have a White Leghorn and RIR roo with no problems of them attacking me. The RIR will puff up like he is going to jump at me if I reach down to pet him but sometimes I will chase him if he does that to show him boss. He will chase my Chinese geese around to try to breed them along with my muscovy ducks and the smallest dog we have. The Leghorn roo just runs off from people and if another roo tries to fight him. We have a bantam silkie roo that I haven't had any problems with and I think a bantam cochin mix with no problems. I do however had some type of chick that I haven't figured out the breed yet that is only a week old that just bit me today when I picked it up. Worse part is I find it the most beautiful one. Going to pick it up more and offer treats.

I am bummed to hear about the RIR roos. I bought one at the feed store as the 1 roo I ordered this year died when it was 2 days old. I guess someday we will be having RIR dumplings.

We have dominiques, both hens and a rooster and they are the friendliest things. We can pick up the rooster and have never had any problems with him. However, I think that we are going to give them to a friends mom this fall, and replace them with sex-link chicks we have now, because I am disappointed in their egg laying.

I have silkies, Sultans, Cochins, Frizzles , Top Hats and Buff Japanese. Out of all of these the tamest and loved to be held and loved are Silkies and the Sultans. Top Hats are very friendly and like to be around you but not held as much. The Frizzle Cochins like to around also but can move like the wind and get away from you. My Buff Japanese are 5 weeks old and still so tiny but I think they are going to be great. I guess the one I like the least are the Cochin and only because the hens go broody so much you don't get many eggs and my Cochin roos are mean! The hens are very sweet and gentle and some roos are great but not mine! Hope this helps a little.

Actually, from my experience, the nicest are RIR or OEGB or BrownLeghorn hens. The Meanest hens are White leghorn(I think the colors have dif personalities) and Buff Cochins. The nice roos are(well with me) RIR and BR. The meanest, Dominiques, my cousin had a few

White Leghorn roos will take off your hand, then rip the neck of any other rooster just for kicks. They are small, so they have some sort of Napolean complex.

Seabrights are quite psycho. And I had some Speckled Sussex roos that were super sweet one day, then crazed the next. It was like some hormone switch was suddenly flipped on, and they, in turn, flipped out. Really bummed me out

THE NICEST HENS WE HAVE RIGHT NOW ARE TURKENS.

Nicest roo is an EE named Mr. Greenjeans.
