I haven’t been having a been time with my quail. I have about 20 quail total and 3 of those are roosters. I had one female end up with a bad gash on her crop area so I brought into my house and cleaned her up and kept her separated she ended up passing a few days later. A few days later another’s hen ended up injured on her neck area a pretty bad gash so once again I separated and clean her up she did fine and is now back with the flock. Yesterday to of my young hens got scalped and so now they’re separated and are doing fine. What am I doing wrong!?! I’m thinking about getting rid of 2 males and keeping 1 male with my flock or gettin rid of all the roosters and getting a new one. (hopefully with a docile temperament) Or remove all males and keep a flock of hens. I don’t know what to do. They’re fed a 28% protein gamebird feed and have plenty of fresh water. (Here’s a a bunch of pictures) I believe I have enough room although I don’t have the exact size of the coop. I’ve had them since January and this is the first time i’m having problems.

all quails have different personalitys. One of your males might just be super mean. I had one just like that and in one hour with a new female she was bleeding really badly. she's still alive tho and the mean boy went on a freezer camping trip in someone elses freezer. I couldn't do it.

There is also the possibility of an over dominat hen ... it is not nessesarily a roo.

Do you have a chance to watch them eventually 1-1.5h, to identify aggressive Bird?

I lost another hen today. I couldn’t find any wounds so not sure what happened. I spend a big chunk of my day at my coops and I never notice any aggressive behavior. I put my 3 males in a bachelor pad and i’m going to give it a few weeks to see if anymore injuries happen.
