One of them at least definitely quacks. Mostly they mutter like the frogs.Do you get any quacks out of them? I think they’re both Golden 300 Females.

I watched the video yesterday of someone identifying if their ducks were female or male... They picked them up and rolled them towards their back and they would either quack or they would make the male noise (they were kind of raspy quacks)One of them at least definitely quacks. Mostly they mutter like the frogs.
Thank you for that! My other ducklings have not even made a noise. Making me worried... The muscovy that are 5 weeks make zero noise not even peeping. The "runners" still peep but they are definitely only a few weeks old. That Pekin is HUGE now! No wonder why her legs were so bent! They grow massive
I'll get some tomorrow. They're starting to get their wing feathers. The wobbly one isn't growing as fast. If I have a drake and duck I'd be so happy but I'm afraid to breed the wobbly one unless she makes a miraculous turn around. We've been doing the b complex in her mouth twice a day. I've seen zero improvementMuscovy size will tell the tale soon. Be sure to post pics once they are around 8-10 weeks but you can share pics now too.
I was thinking about getting Muscovy hatching eggs and hatching some of my own to see if I can get a female. I'm giving her a month to heal then we will figure out a game plan. We don't want to euthanize her because she's eating, pooping, and drinking fine. She may just need her own pen. Maybe I can find her another disability duck friendThis could very well be genetic or an injury that messed up something that just didn't heal right. I def wouldn't breed her with out knowing for sure if she'd pass it on. I have used my Muscovy to hatch Runners and Buffs for me.![]()
Thank you! I think they sound like girls. I’ll try and get recording
