Aggressive rooster problem

I would cull him and get a new rooster. Even if he’s a good protector, it’s not worth it to lose other chickens and possibly get injured because of him

I think killing a problem rooster should be a last resort.
If you really want to keep him, then cut off the tip of his beak and remove the sprue. You shouldn't have any more problems with him!

I respectfully disagree. He will still breed the hens, potentially become more aggressive with them while trying to "hang on". His breeding will also potentially lead to little cockerels carrying his genes and nasty personality.
As I stated before, there are so many good roosters that need homes. Why not give one of them a chance?

I agree with you and I would also remove him from the flock! But the author of the post say that she wanted to keep him, that's why I gave her that suggestion.

Attacking humans and starving hens is not a good boy! No way would he stay here with my hens. I would not rehome a bad rooster like this either. Way too many good roosters deserve a home.

Last time it took my girls three months to accept the new flock, but I'm going to try it. Next Spring I'm going to try to get another rooster and put the one I have currently in a fryer. Thank you all!
