Aggressive rooster

I'm glad you're got it taken care of.

I had a Banty rooster that was constantly going after me. He'd start a run at me from 20 feet away.

At the time my dog, Shasta, a Border Collie/ Aussie mix was a year old, she gets along fine with my free ranging chickens.

I went over to the wood shed for something and I saw my rooster with his head stuck between split stacked wood. I thought I had a dead rooster but when I touched him, he was warm and alive.

I looked around and about ten feet away my dog was laying down staring intently at the back end of my rooster.

The look on her face was a "I dare you to mess with me again".

The rooster changed a bit after that, he want after me infrequently, but gave my dog a wide berth.

I have a Rhode Island red that will be a year next month. He Chase's my granddaughters and today he made one of them fall and get hurt. My husband has kicked him and he doesn't bother him but he comes after their granddaughters and myself. We're going to pin him up in his own quarters tomorrow and he may end up being dinner if he continues. I hate it because he's so beautiful but can't have them chase on the grandbabies
