Hello all!
I have a rooster who had been raised around people and whatnot since he was a chick. Well the moment he started to crow, his original family had to get rid of him due to HOA. He was nice for about the first week or so, but then became super aggressive.
Now what I mean by that is when I even walk up to the chicken run, he running there. Not for a friendly greeting either. The moment I go in the run without holding anything he puffs up and flies at me, the claws on his feet at the ready. For the most part hes nice to my hens (thankfully). Only pecking them every once in a while (usually after I chase him off of me)
Is there a way I can work with him to be less aggressive? I am glad he is protecting the flock, but I am not fond of him attacking me and other people.
