The rooster is getting a little aggressive when mounting the hens. All bens have bald spots where feathers a being pulled or scratched out. How do I keep this from happening? They seem happy and produce eggs every day. When I go out there they jump in my lap and like to be petted.

My girls get some balding as cockerels are figuring out their technique, usually the one or two favorites. I keep 5 -6 hens to a male and that works well after the boy settles in.

You can use an apron to cover their backs until they heal up or just wait it out to see if he settles down. They can be as simple as tying a pot holder on the back. Search "chicken apron" to see what I mean.
