Sing! When my gander is acting up during breeding season I sing. He seems to love singing and even though I can't carry a tune he doesn't seem to mind. But I will not tolerate him being aggressive. Once he starts he gets to lay on the ground on his belly for a few minutes while I hold him there and we have a nice talk. Once he is let up he goes about his business for a while then it starts again.
My gander is going on 15 so you would think he would be slowing down some. Nope they just have this fierce instinct to protect whether it be their mate or goslings or both.
