but they have no protection. Luna almost died twice trying to protect my hens. You have 3 options:Give him to a needy family and let them eat him or 2: Cull him humanely and bury him or 3:Keep him in a separate cage or coop and run so you can manage your flock without being attacked (this one requires gloves)No one needs a rooster unless they have to have one to fertilize eggs.P.S. Hen only flocks are great!
Had chickens for years without a rooster and they thrived. All I had to do was build them a safe pen.I free range mine too but only when I'm home.I trained my dogs to chase predators off so mine are safebut they have no protection. Luna almost died twice trying to protect my hens.
That leaves you 2 options.Keep him until a predator kills him or give him away and let someone else cull him and do what they will with him if you're tired of being attacked.Few roosters stop attacking their owners once they start being aggressive sorrywe are not going to cull Luna.
well he does not attack my mom. she feeds him and he trusts her. I am still trying to gain his trust. That leaves you 2 options.Keep him until a predator kills him or give him away and let someone else cull him and do what they will with him if you're tired of being attacked.Few roosters stop attacking their owners once they start being aggressive sorry
