ahh!!!! broke a three year slump today

i set 57 eggs on june 9th and today i got my first quail hatch in three years. wont be long now and i will be overun with coturnix....will get a total and some pics once they get dried off.dont remember how long that takes in a forced air hova.....

looks like they wont dry in there i will get up bright and early and get them i nto the brooder

I have more trouble with them not drying when I hatch in my forced-air bator, when I hatch in the still-air they dry off just fine

Just be sure that the room your in doesn't have any drafts (fan, A/C, etc.) and they should be fine. I would cover the brooder with a towel for a while so they can get good and dry.

well they stayed in too long.....all 42 dead....ohh well i wont wait for them to dry next time. 17 more days and ill try this again.. things were alot easier to hatch when i had my sportsman....
