Ahhh! Mice Invasion!

My mother had a terrible mouse problem last fall. She used the peppermint oil on cotton balls in all her cupboards and drawers. She swears by it. She said she hasn't seem a mouse dropping since. She replaces them with fresh oil every couple weeks.

I would worry about little chicklets with rats. I hope things will resolve so you never have that worry

I contacted our local ferret rescue about buying some poo but they never responded - maybe they thought I was some sort of freak?

We have had come and go problems with mice in the house over the last several years. Due to small children and the other fore mentioned problems we have generally avoided poison. I didn't like the glue traps because they would wake me up in the night hopping around or squeaking, then I had to get up and take em outside and whack em. The plain old spring traps work well for me. Quick, deadly, and most importantly doesn't disturb my sleep. We went two for three just night before last with them. If you keep them moved around with fresh bait you can knock out most of them in a few days. It's a good idea to put them up until your next invasion. I've found if I leave them out to long the mice seem to learn to avoid them.
