I don't hate spiders and will generally leave them alone but we did kill a black widow in the garage yesterday. The body was about the size of my thumbnail. I do have to say that was the biggest one I had ever seen and since it was in the garage, it did not survive the shoe!

My son is 22. A pretty good size guy. He will go in our bull pen and sort out bulls, has got hit by them,and chased up and over fences often. But if he sees a spider he freaks out!

My wife and were laying in bed watching netflix on her laptop when she felt something crawling on her. She seized it between her fingers and pinned it against my chest. "Turn on light and see what it is!" So I did... It was a juvenile Black Widow!! I like spiders, but not so much to want them in my bed!
