yes, it could be worse. I lived on 7 acres in Watsonville, CA a few years back and the neighbors had live mariachi bands and many, many people dancing and drinking almost every Sunday afternoon! Try to get mariachi music out of your head! LOL:lol:

maybe go talk to them and see if they could rock out ! a little later in the morning so you can hear your peaceful sounds of the farm! just a thought . all you can do is ask!

Enjoy your neighbors

Rather have loud music - at any hour - then hear a spouse fighting with spouse, or parent screaming at child, or child screaming at child.

Maybe invite them over for coffee and chicken tv - then have drinks and music later at their house.

They're good neighbors, really. They aren't really country people as far as animals go------they had a few turkeys a couple years ago, put them in a pen that wasn't covered, and were shocked that raccoons got in the pen at night. They also got some domestic ducks for their pond, but didn't provide them nighttime shelter, and were surprised that "something" (a fox) got the ducks. They never have complained about all my critters, though and really aren't obnoxious at all-----------re-read my later post----this was for amusement purposes only.

Rats I loved the part about the hens getting down. I just started LMAO thinking about the hens dancing to ACDC.

Well, I coulda' sworn I saw my alpha roo and alpha hen doin' the paso doble (sp?). And the pots were starting up a jig, but the goats looked on with scorn as they calmly chewed their cud. LOL

I think some people don't even think about the way sound travels in the country ..

You couldn't hear music or arguing from 4 blocks away in the city .. but you can put 5 or 10 acres between houses and hear every little noise.

I'm quite convinced my neighbors (with 5 heavily wood acres between us) have no idea that I hear them arguing with their 8 year old son. They're going to find out when I stand on the porch and yell back "QUIT ARGUING WITH YOUR PARENTS YOU BRAT!!"

lol
