Ahhhh Ive Rescued Some Battery Hens!*pics*

Battery hens can be tricky, but enormously rewarding. I have a whole lot running around our farm and you'll never guess where they came from if you see them. They took awhile to settle and I lost some to disease and I've had problems, but it worked out well in the end. Some of them even went broody and had chicks. They are wonderful moms.

Well ive been doing it for year but non of them have ever been more of a struggle then ruby but i have connected with her since she has been ill so im not going to give up!, after all shes been trhough she should be able to live out her life as a free range hen
