AHHHH! Make it stop!!! Screaming goats...

My girlfriend just sold her goats for that very reason .. she couldn't even sit out on her front porch in the morning and enjoy her coffee .. they would see her (from her brother's place next door) and start hollering ...

Drove her crazy ..

mine are like that in the morning..i just run out there and give them their food really fast so they will shut up!

mine really like cheezits too..if they are determined to act up, i toss them a handful of those to forage for and they forget about their hissy fits.

LOL this is my first time owning goats. LOL the noise!!!

I really want some nubians to go with these loud mouthed babies. Me I just let em out to come chat with me on the porch while I have coffee. Momma's babies.

I have a Nigi whether who is SO loud!!!

What works for me is:
Keep the hay net FULL so they can't use the excuse of "nothing to eat!"

AND

IGNORE them!

Every movement he heard when he first arrived he though people were bringing him grain BECAUSE in his other home, the barn and goat pastures were VERY far from the house, so the only time he did see people were meal times!

Here, his enclosure is very close to the house, so he was essentially programmed to think PEOPLE=FOOD.
I am just starting to break him of it now and it's been 3 weeks but he has a wicked internal clock and I had better not be late with breakfast or dinner cause boy I will hear about it (and so will the neighbors!)...

Sure is loud for a little guy!
Good luck!

Hi. I'm new to this forum. I wanted to let you know how we were able to help ourself with that problem. First of all just like everyone said goat getting attached and they also see you as a food source. They becoming demanding and there fore loud. After trying. After trying few thing, we start wondering about old days methods. After talking with elders we divided to use a piece of branch. Basically light but firm whips, next day goat knew that we are not just on demand toys but leaders of a herd. :) they are still just as friendly and silent. I hope that will help. Please don't be abusive. P.S. our goat are Nubians . Thanks
