AHHHHHHH!!!! I'm TOTALLY hating myself!!! *Pic added*

It would be interesting in a case of a double yoker actually hatching twins,if both chicks born will be able to reproduce?? I know in the case of cattle when twins are born of the opposite sex,the female calf is unable to reproduce and called a "freemartin".This condition is caused by the male calf making testerone and because this hormone is created and flows between both calves,it renders the hiefer calf unable to be reproduce functionally. I'm sure chickens are diffrent and possibly the roo chick would not be producing this hormone while still in the embryonic stages inside the egg,,but if a case occured and those twin chicks could be tracked until maturitity,,,,wonder if the roo and the hen could be a propsective reproducers??

I did not know that! You learn something new every day. I don't know about the chickens since they are basically in no way connected except for being in one shell. I know that with humans, what happens in the cows does not happen in humans. But you often times can have twin to twin transfer and "disappearing twin". Which in both cases has to do with the twins being connected some how. I plan on keeping the chicks from this batch and will have to let you guys know how it goes as they grow if they make it. Interesting concept though.

Well the little guy is still alive and kicking! And now he has moved where I can see his tiny foot! It's so cute! Any way just letting you guys know he still doing ok. Only 5 more days! OT though one of my hens laid her first egg today. I'm not sure which it was. It was either my turken or my dark Cornish. The mamma of the egg's I'm incubating right now got over mated to death. We had moved all but one of the roo's into another pen away from the hens when we realized we were losing hens to over mating. But my two dark cornish roosters got loose into the hen pen and Big Daddy the daddy roo didn't catch those boys in time before they killed her. She was the only hen I had laying. Now though I'm happy to say I have another hen laying. And I got rid of all the other roosters I had except Big Daddy, so no more chance of any hens being mated to death.

Hey maybe there is still a chance of both being alive, and not to disapoint you or anything but maybe if the first one really was dead then probably when it started to decompose the bacteria would kill the other one. Sorry if I freak you out
