The second pipped last night, and should start zipping soon, but for the time being, the first has been hanging out with me.

Her feet look pretty fine this morning. She’s walking around with no problem.

Second finally hatched!

Alright! The second half of the clutch has pipped and all seems good so far.

Both hatched and look IDENTICAL. they are a beautiful white color with quite a lot of feathered feet. I’m guessing the Cochin mix is the dad of these two...

Here’s a 3 week update for the first two that hatched.

Both of them are huge and growing like crazy! Unfortunately, both are boys and will most likely have to be dinner in the future. They have both developed some crests, which is a dead give-away that the leghorn- Polish rooster is the father of these guys. Perhaps next time the AI will work?
