Birds typically don't need to eat at all for 1-3 days after they hatch. That's why it's safe to ship day old chicks without food! You may be giving it a bit too much. I wouldn't expect it to try and eat for a day or two. It will not starve, the yolk is designed to sustain it for a long while after absorption. Are its toes fixed into the curled position, or are they flexible? Can you straighten them with very little force?Well maybe it is getting enough water on its own but I'm trying to be safe, but it hasn't gone over for food whatsoever from what I can tell
I know it's air because it feels like air, and I can look inside and see there's just nothing there at all
ETA: The yolk thing goes for hydration, too. They don't absolutely need food OR water those first couple of days.
