I did end up taking the first 6 out (to the brooder.) The youngest of those was a good 8 hours older than this one, and they were getting a little wild in my little brinsea! I did nothing so far with the cord, I think it will be fine.
I only slept about 2 hours today after my night shift. I was just too excited to sleep! The white egg with the small air cell still has not pipped externally. I have only one more pipped that's not out yet. I'ts interesting, all of the brown eggs went one right after the other. Then 8 hours, then green eggs all this afternoon- one at a time. White is last- hopefully he makes it! I'm heading to bed soon, and we have #8 out now. Not bad for 10 eggs going into lockdown.
