air cell incubating eggs are a little small for 9 days.

So it is day 18 now and the air cells are mabey a little bigger than an air cell on day 14. If i could figure out how to upload pictures and all of that i would show you but do you think a day 15 size air cell would be okay?

They very well could be, I just posted this picture in another thread, you can see where I originally marked the egg on day 18, I believe this was taken on day 21.. I was worried I had no pips so candled and found this... See the difference.. The air cell will grow a bit bigger... Nothing more to do but just wait... I think they will be ok, I've had some very small air cells and I have also had a wonky one that went the whole length of the shell and both chicks hatched fine :)

I think they will be fine too

. I also have an egg in there that is rocking around alot what is he-she doing?

YAY!!! Rocking is movement which means they should be working on piping through that aircell you have been watching so carefully

Once they break through for air you should be able to hear them peeping! How many eggs and what are you hatching?

I have 7 chicken eggs in there and most of them are probably mixed breeds.

YAY...surprise hatches are fun...wait and see what you get

And yes, some can start early or hatch late...21 days is just a guideline to go by. Just be patient because it is a process that can take a while. Sounds like you are in lockdown so just keep that bator closed and wait for them to make their way out....such an amazing process to see!!!!!!

Ya i just put them in lock down like 4 hours ago and one of the blue ones seems to be moving a little too.

I have had internal pips on day 18... But remember, it takes time, internal to external pip...12-24 hours, external pip to zip and hatch 12-24 hours... Some people say the waiting is half the fun... I say they lie , the waiting is excruciating lol

Give us updates when you have them..
