my eggs are on day 13 today. i have some that were shipped and some local. some are green and some are brown and some very dark brown. i see movement in most of them but i only see air sacks on a few. is it possible that they are there and i just can't see them or are they maybe not in the right place? this is my first hatch so i only know what i've read and pics i've seen. i can see the air sack in some of the dark ones. also i know that they can develop well and then just stop. how do you know if that happens at this stage? also some of the eggs seem like they are more developed than others. is that normal?? thanks for any advice...

i had the same problem til i got a brighter flashlight, about 120 lums to really start to see good in the darker eggs, try using a brighter light.

i have a brinsea candler. some i can see really well some not so well. some just seem darker inside the egg. and like i said some i see air sacks and some i can't. it's really strange.

I use a big, bright LED flashlight with a 'cap' on top to narrow the light. I took a plastic container a little bigger than the end of the flashlight and cut a hole in it. I cut a round piece corking material to fit the plastic container and cut a quarter-sized hole in the center and duct taped it to the plastic container. It took another layer of duct tape all around it to completely cut off the 'side' light and now I can see pretty well into the darker eggs. Still can't see everything but enough to know when it's developing or not.

Good luck!
