Alabama Checking In.

We are here in East Cenral Alabama, in Anniston. 65 Miles east of Birmingham off I20.

New Site checking in! Yes that's actually the name of the town I live closest to! About 9 miles from alexander City/Lake Martin area. Roll tide! DH says War Eagle-yes a house divided!

Well I think we have all the corners covered for the state as I am in the NW corner of Alabama. We are about 13 miles from the Mississippi line and about 25 miles from the Tennessee line.

I just moved here from Alaska (retired military) and we just put a bid in on a house today so hopefully we get the house and I can get settled in soon and get the coops up and running. I got 8 SLW eggs that are going in the bator in the morning and in mid October I am ordering day old chicks of Buff Orphs and EE's.

I'm right off exit 11 off I-20 between Bremen and Carrollton GA.
I got some pullets and a roo and some naked necks by posting on Craig's List.
I met some nice folks and have some nice birds......
We ride our Honda Goldwing into Alabama alot....Alabama the beautiful!

I bet it's nothing I haven't said before!LOL! I have visited Hamilton before. You live near there? I made a friend from there when we lived at Fort Campbell(in Hopkinsville when we met actually). Are ya'll from here?​

Well, BAmagirl we have a lot in common. My sister lives in Alexander City and I have lots of friends in Hop Town. Was just up there in Kentucky four weeks ago. Got some really nice Maran eggs at a fleamarket in Clarkville a few years ago but sold what I hatched when I decided on the main three breeds I was going to work on.

I don't know if you would know her since she has lived there less than a yr. Her husband is over the Alabama Power stuff there now. Marshall and Ava Griffin

Yeah you're right! I have lived in this area almost forty years (OM -am I that Old? ) minus the 2 and a half years I spent in KY. I don't know near as many people as I used to with this area growing as much as it has recently. I hope she is enjoying living here. It's the best place in the world to live!! Minus the mosquitoes!
