I have 2 hens wanting to sit. Is that ok? Or is it too cold?

people are hatching chicks with broody hens close to the north pole now. Surely they will be fine here

I once had a silkie that ended up hatching babies in November (unplanned chicks are so fun). She kept those babies warm all winter long and now they are very hardy adults. With the worst of winter hopefully over, I am letting my silkies sit.

I would say that I do, but my hens aren't laying well yet. They lay a few when it gets warm and the second it gets cold again they stop.

I'm searching for Xl D-line breed quail. Such as Pharoah coturnix. About 50 hatching eggs or 25 young hens with a few roos.
