ALABAMA!!

Hello,

I'm just across the state line in Mississippi. There aren't too many chicken people in South Mississippi so I thought I'd stop by here and say Hi. I have mostly English Orpingtons plus Plymouth Barred Rocks and Heritage Delaware. Love, love my chickens!

Welcome, MsKay! Your birds are amazing. Where did you get them? If you raised them, how long have you been working on them? I am thrilled to see nice typed large fowl down here in the Deep South. Most of the really good standard birds here are bantams.

I've had chickens for a long time but just last year got into the large fowl english orps. They are from all over. I've tried to get good bloodlines and will work from there. Thank you so much for the completements! There are more photos on my facebook page if you are interested. The link is in my signature.

I love English Orps!! I had some once that were not 100% but they were BIG. My girls weighed at least 10lbs and tall as a 5 gallon drum. Miss them so much(something came into my yard and killed them all). One day I will get more.

Good looking birds everyone. Sylacauga,AL here. All about banties, I have a pair of gray japs, a pair or golden seabrights, about 10 flea market chickens, and eight one month old standard ameracauna chicks for layers. Haven't quite figured out how to put up more than one pic at a time, as soon as I figure that out I'll post pics
