So I'm planning to move to Alabama in November.
We're looking for a place in the Clanton/Maplesville area.
If anyone knows any places (rent or for sale) that are chicken friendly please let me know.

Also, if I needed, would anyone close by be able to chicken sit for 8 hens?
If we don't have a place when we go down, we will be staying with a relative until I find a job and the right place, and we can't have chickens at their house.

I'd really hate to have to get rid of my girls.

I am from Marlow, Alabama. I just got my chicks in July and I am going crazy waiting for some eggs. Should be coming soon. I hope anyway. How old are they when they lay real good?

I'm in Harvest. Got 5 barred rocks early in September. They were 20 weeks old at that time. Just passed 26 weeks and still no eggs. One of them looks like any day now with bright red comb and wattles. One looks like she's getting ready soon. The others don't look ready yet. Still looking forward to breakfast.
