Ohh, I am so interested. I wish you were closer to Cullman!Hello Alabama! Unfortunately, we are moving in a few weeks and my chickens couldn't go with us. (I have found good homes for them all) but I have about 10 feeders and waterers that I just put on the byc auction page. If you live near Fort Payne and want some extra feeders/waterers at a really great price, let me know.

Take the egg and put it in one of the nest boxes, or better yet, eat the egg and put two or three golf balls in the nest where you want her to lay. You may have to set something in the spot where she laid the egg to disuade her and make her look else where. When she sees the egg or golfballs, she will get the idea. I think they think that if there are eggs there, it is a safe place to lay. I keep at least one golfball in each nest box, I call them "patterns!"just wanted to find what i could do. one of the hens i bought laid an egg on the floor. i have pine shavings on the floor of my coop and she made a little nest and there was the egg. i have a nesting area its more of an open type not closed type nesting boxes just thought it might need to be more private. any ideas?
