I am new on here and I am from Rock Creek Alabama

Hi!

My grandparents lived there for many years until the '98 tornado took their house. Rock Creek is about 10-12 minutes from me

It's a bit messy because we still use the shed for other things so it's hard to get a clean shot but here it is.. mostly finished.

The roost boards need another coat of paint so since they're removable and they probably wouldn't use them right now anyway, it's not in there.

And the nest boxes from the outside...

Their water system is rigged with 5 gallon bucket, hose and down to the water nipples there. The board they are mounted to can be raised again later when they get larger and it's missing a sloped guard over it that my dad forgot to bring with him

Inside I have the heat lamp for them at night still. This was taken right after I filled the feeder for the first time and they started going crazy lol

While I was trying to take pictures Angel jumped up on my arm

And so she decided to look down upon the masses and watch. I think she gets picked on a good bit since she's the only white one

I still have my 6 TSC chicks in door since it goes below freezing again next week. Hopefully my waterer will be ok.

Yeah I know where that is, my parents live further down that way in Adger. I'm in Pleasant Grove. Do you have any chicks/chickens yet?

I do have some not many looking for hens any type is good for me I have started my own farm tired of spending to much money at the grocery store

Nice! I understand that it's kinda how I feel too. I want a milk goat but my neighbors are so close I don't think they would appreciate it very much.. neither would my dog lol. Then maybe some meat rabbits too I would love a little farm one day!
