I got them from a couple in Bonifay, FL (just about 40 minutes from here). They had pretty birds with pretty eggs. So far they are doing well. I'll keep you updated. The two Blue Copper Maran hens that I have now are so beautiful. I am hoping these will be healthy, pretty hens, too.

I am desperately trying to find some partridge silkie hens or older chicks in our area. Have a silkie paint trio I am willing to let go of in order to replace the partridge hens we lost to the raccoon. Any help would be much appreciated!
 
Welcome ALChickGal! I'm very new here and to chickens. I just picked up 15 chicks a little over a week ago, they turned 2 weeks old today! I'll get some photos when I get home. I have 9 Easter Eggers and 6 Black Orpingtons, they're so cute!

Thank you! Oh.. you will LOVE watching them grow! I have so enjoyed nurturing these chickens. :) I have Buff Orps-- they are beautiful. I'd love to see pics of your Black Orps.
 
We bought what we thought were Black Australorps, they will be 1 month old on Saturday, we are beginning to think they are Black Jersey Giants because the man we got them from had those as well and he was a bit elderly & possibly confused as to what his chicks were, and also the bottom of their feet are yellowish (jersey giants are), not pinkish white like Australorps should be. So, we will sell these 3 very nice/healthy birds (npip) if anyone is interested for $4.00 each or all 3 for $10. We are in Montevallo, AL.

I might be interested.. Do you have any pictures? We're in the Arden subdivision (neighborhood behind the fire station in Montevallo).
