ALABAMA!!

Lovely birds, Orps!

I wanted to extend an invitation to you Alabama folks: Central Alabama Permaculture Enthusiasts are having a Permaculture day this Sunday in Montevallo, 1-5pm. Lots of informative stuff, last year we had a variety of speakers and it was a blast. There will be some door prizes (I got an adorable gardening book for kids last year

) and just a lot of friendly faces. Next year I may try and speak about the benefits of chicken keeping or something

It's kid friendly.. there's a little playground and bunches of people that adore kids.

If you are familiar with Montevallo, it's off Overland drive, outside portion is at the seed-to-table site and inside portion will be in the adjacent fellowship hall. I will likely be there, perhaps not for the whole event, but definitely for the first few hours.. all depends on the kids.

Oh fun! We went to the Mother Earth News Fair earlier this month and attended a couple of those permaculture and solar energy (off the grid) lectures. I may try to check that out!

Anybody interested in 6 slate turkey poults???? A guy kept sayin he was coming to get them, but 2 weeks later, they are still in my brooder and ready to move. $12/poult or $60 / for all. They are fully feathered and ready to transition outdoors during the day.
