Been a while since I've gotten on here to look around since the design changes a couple years ago. Last years predators just about wiped out most of my flock. Only 2 Turkeys left (both Toms), ducks gone, all but 1 of my BBS Orps (Blue hen left) only 4 grown hens left out of about 40. My Silkies and Phoenix are kept locked up in their own hutches so I still have them but the hawks and coyotes just about got everything else. 1 BBS Orp 2BO & 1EE is all that's left.

Got about 50 pullets about 2-3 months old now from our feed store & at TSC growing up to replace what i've lost. In the last couple weeks I have hatched out some silkies and about 6 silkie/phoenix mixes under some broody silkie hens, can't wait to see what they look like after feathering out.

Picked up the last 3 Khaki Campbell ducks TSC had at Easter & got 6 Turkey eggs from a friend under those little Silkies and they are supposed to hatch in about 3 or 4 days now.

I'm in the NW corner of the state out in the Central Heights area of Florence just off the Savannah Hiway.

Would love to get a few BBS eggs to hatch or some babies or even a grown BBS Roo or cockerel.

Welcome back! I haven't been here long myself. I'm sorry to hear about your losses :-( I have a few extra black Orpington cockerels, they are 11 weeks old. Would you want anything that young? I'm right outside Birmingham. I got them as babies from Wisher1000, who might have some older ones.

Thanks DragonFly, I have talked with Wisher a lil bit ago, I would rather find some a little closer to me if i'm going to drive or get about 6-8 in the mail. Taking my daughter to Huntsville area to the greyhound bus station on Wednesday if anything is available from anyone over there at that time and going to Tishamingo, Ms on the 7th of June if anyone has any over in that neck of the woods.

Taking my daughter to Huntsville area to the greyhound bus station on Wednesday if anything is available from anyone over there at that time and going to Tishamingo, Ms on the 7th of June if anyone has any over in that neck of the woods.

I just went out to feed the chickens and check on my broody Silver Phoenix and Silkies and there is a little Turkey poult in there and that Silver Phoenix won't let me get it yet. She don't like me taking all her babies away. I have them in the house in a brooder. They weren't supposed to hatch till the 4th but I ain't complaining. Will have to see if the others hatch in the next couple days. Hoping for some hens. My 2 Toms are lonely.

A few weeks ago one of them was doing his dance out in the run and I don't have ANYTHING else out there in the run except those 2 Toms and my 5 Guineas that wander in and out all the time. I thought 1 of my chicken hens may have gotten out of their hutch so I went to investigate what he was mating with and when I got out there to see it was a broken Birdhouse Gourd that broke off the line running through the run. He crushed that Gourd to pieces as he is about 30-35 pounds. That's when I asked a co-worker for some of his Turkey eggs to see if I could get them some companions. Silly Turkey !!!!! LOL

No problem! You gotta go try the Blue Canoe in Tupelo! We went there after leaving Tishimingo Park and the food is amazing! Lots of beer to choose from also, if you like
