Hey Bamadude, we have a white/black Brahma and a Black copper maran (sp) and the rooster is a mix breed of Rhode Island Red and Black Copper Maran. We are looking for some Rhode Island red hens and speckled sussexs. What kind do you have?

I have 9 brahmas. My neighbor has rir hatching eggs if u need any. His rir roosters are mean. They attack cars when they go by

This is not chicken related but kind of strange.

I went walking with my friends at Buck Creek Park in Alabaster. While on the trail we spotted what at first we thought was a rabbit on the side of the trail. On closer look, it was a white male guinea pig. It's so strange. Why is a guinea pig in the park? And running wild too. Needless to say I had to catch him before he got eaten. He didn't like it but I was able to grab him. So here I was walking the rest of the trail walking 3 dogs with 1 hand and holding a guinea pig in the other. I'm sure people was looking at me and trying to figure out why I was walking a guinea pig. LOL!! And "yes" I did have kids point at me and even asked "What is it?".

So now I have it home and safe from predator what do I do with it? I don't have any GP food so I put in some chicken scratch and veg in the cage. Is that okay for tonight? Anyone have experience with GP?

Veggies are fine for the GP. I guess chicken feed will be ok. I don't see why not. Probably someone got tired of it as a pet and decided to let it go in the park. They do the same with dogs and cats with the idea that, "They are animals, they can take care of themselves." Glad you saw it to rescue it.
