ALABAMA!!

They're just calling them ameraucana's, but it safe to assume they're EE's. They will make wonderful chickens, but if you plan on showing, you MUST get breeder chicks. If you just want eggs, EE's will do just fine. If you want only blue eggs, you would need to get breeder chicks. If you like surprises TSC chicks would be just fine, as they may not be blue at all.

I am nervous as heck. I want to try and get a variety of birds, but I am worried if I don't get them all right away, I will miss out.

Not sure what you are asking. Is there a way to tell EE from other chicks or EE chicks from Ameraucana chicks. If it is the latter just assume if they are at TSC they are EE. I currently know of no large commercial breeder selling true ameraucana. I would encourage anyone to seek out a reputable breeder no matter what type of chick you are looking for.
TSC puts them in a bin and calls them a surprise. I am asking if you can identify them as an EE. I know they are not Ameraucana chicks. Just didnt want the surprise to be a RSL or something else.

Yes, but not all EEs and several other breeds do, so not much help. EE's don't all have puffy cheeks, either, but if you pick chicks with puffy cheeks, they are very likely EEs. One warning though, every time I have picked an EE chick that was bright yellow with small stripes, it turned out to be a roo. The two white EE hens I have were both creamy yellow/tan with wide brown stripes.
